Narrative
MT. JULIET, TN – A 62-year-old woman died last Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash along the interstate in Mt. Juliet.
The accident happened at night on I-40 East near mile marker 226. This is on the south side of the city, near the junction with TN-161.
Police say that an eastbound Mercedes sideswiped a Kia while approaching the exit from the interstate. The Mercedes then hit two road signs before crashing off of the roadway.
The driver of the Mercedes died at the scene. Authorities identified her as 62-year-old Michelle Johnson.
Nobody else was hurt in the collision.
